Biography

Christy Reveles is committed to helping and empowering business leaders and their teams to build their leadership capacity and develop high performance workplaces. Over the past six years, Christy has built a successful career as a professional coach, trainer and consultant who specializes in personal and organizational coaching for leaders and managers. Her vision is that through leadership coaching and development, managers and team leaders will develop high performing collaborative workplaces where people are highly engaged, focused, and empowered to perform at their very best level. Christy's experience and expertise includes leadership development, communication skills, process facilitation, team building, and coaching skills for workplace leaders.

As a consultant and coach, Christy has worked with a variety of both public and private-sector clients including: Greenland Ministry of Education, National Education Association, QLD Learning, Center for Research in Education, Diversity and Excellence (CREDE), Bureau of Indian Affairs/OIEP, Center for the Education and Study of Diverse Populations (CESDP), New Haven Schools (CT), Littleton Public Schools, Manatee County Schools, San Diego Unified School District, and the Northern New Mexico Network/Rural Systems Initiative.

Christy began her professional career in leadership as a school site principal, where she helped to lead comprehensive school reform efforts in high-poverty high-diversity schools, such as site-based decision-making and strategic planning. Christy then became a program director for a large-scale mentoring program in which she led a county-wide consortium of 25 school districts to provide mentoring, induction, and coaching support to over 300 beginning teachers each year. She also worked as a program administrator for the New Mexico State Department of Education, where she helped to lead the state's efforts to implement several state-wide literacy programs.

Christy received her Bachelor's degree in Spanish from Humboldt State University (CA); her Master's Degree in Education Administration and Supervision from San Jose State University (CA); and her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of La Verne (CA). In addition to her dissertation, Christy has published several articles and led the development of two coach training programs, both of which are used today across the country and internationally. She has also presented at both state and national conferences including the American Educational Research Association, California Department of Education, National Association for Bilingual Education, and the National Indian School Boards Association among others. Christy is an active member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), The Coaching Exchange (TCE), International Coaching Federation (ICF), and the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (IPEC).
